From igniting his passion for aircraft development at the tender age of 10 to becoming a revered American engineer and internet sensation, Hunter Kowald stands as the mastermind behind the groundbreaking “SkySurfer Aircraft.” In 2021, a video showcasing Kowald maneuvering his innovative aircraft through the bustling Times Square took the internet by storm, accumulating a staggering 900 million social media impressions. This viral sensation catapulted Kowald into the international spotlight, earning him features on prominent media platforms such as CNN, Fox, Jimmy Kimmel Live, New York Post, Inside Edition, and many more. Since then, Kowald and the SkySurfer Aircraft have become emblematic of contemporary culture, collaborating with leading figures in entertainment, including Tom Holland, J Balvin, and Brent Rivera, along with top-tier companies like Marvel, Sony Entertainment, and Warner Music Group.
The cultural significance of Kowald’s achievement has reverberated across industries, with his appearance soaring through the New York City skyline on the SkySurfer Aircraft in the recent Spider-Man movie, “No Way Home.” Additionally, his breathtaking flight down the red carpet at the Spain premiere of Tom Holland’s latest film, “Uncharted,” further cemented his pioneering presence in the world of entertainment.
The World Games 2022 will provide an exclusive opportunity to see Kowald’s SkySurfer in action during the opening ceremonies. Hunter will be teaming up with Iconic Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Bootsy Collins, to officially open the World Games with a special aerial surprise and photo opportunity for attendees.
“I’m thrilled to demonstrate the latest iteration of our groundbreaking aircraft. Our team has devoted relentless effort to engineer a revolutionary aircraft capable of enduring the rigors of flight while maintaining a compact form factor—so portable that it can be folded and transported aboard a passenger plane,” Kowald expressed. “This fundamentally alters the landscape of transportation, offering safe and accessible aerial freedom to everyone. Collaborating with the World Games is an honor, recognizing our mission to transform the future of transportation and life by providing safe, easy, and affordable air travel for all.”
Kowald boasts an illustrious educational background, having acquired multiple degrees and certifications from prestigious institutions such as Harvard Business School, UCLA, and UNCC. The World Games 2022 will debut the SkySurfer in action during its opening ceremonies—an exclusive unveiling of the latest model boasting a 25% increase in flight time through a new series of patented technology.
